The Providence Hex topped the Medford Desperados, 13-3, with youngster Brian Kilcoyne playing a key role. Kilcoyne went 3 for 6 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Hex in the win. The triumph puts Providence at 16-13 for the season.

With Providence leading 5-0 in the top of the sixth, Kilcoyne came up to bat against Medford pitcher Danny Garcia. Kilcoyne hit a curveball to left for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Hex on top, 9-0.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Kilcoyne.
