Newport Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by MacKoul
The Aurora Paints weathered an outstanding game by Newport designated hitter Justin MacKoul to topple the Unicorns, 16-14. MacKoul hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 5. The win puts Aurora at 8-16.

The Paints got a big hit from designated hitter Eric Roebling. In the bottom of the seventh, Roebling smacked a 2-run double off Newport pitcher Jose Garcia. It was his 3rd double of the season. Suddenly, the Paints were ahead, 11-10.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Roebling, "but we could've played better."
