Big Day for Wunderlich as Capitols Down Scorpions, 7-0
Augusta right fielder Chris Wunderlich helped his team beat the Sonoma Scorpions, 7-0. Wunderlich, who is tied for 7th in the W-AA in extra base hits with 44, went 3 for 5 for the Capitols. Bernie Rios picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-7. He struck out 3 in 7 innings. The Capitols lead the Western AA Coastal Division by a game.

In the top of the third, Wunderlich had a 2-run triple for Augusta. It was his 10th triple of the season and put the Capitols on top, 2-0.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Wunderlich told the Augusta Herald.
