League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Barnstable and Winchester
The League Championship Series got off to a quiet start, with the host Winchester Mountaineers taking a low-scoring, 1-0 win over the Riverside Rotters. Winchester right-hander Josh Barnstable was marvelous at Mountaineers Park. The Mountaineers now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Barnstable delivered a quality start for Winchester. The 6-foot-6 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 1 hit over 7.1 innings of work.

"We found a way to get it done," Barnstable said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mountaineers Park in Winchester.
