Road Win Lifts St. Catharines to 2-1 Lead in CS
David Tirado pitched a gem to help the St. Catharines Blue Jays escape with a tight, 2-0 victory over the Santa Rosa Desperados in a low-scoring League Championship Series contest. The right-handed Tirado threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball in the win, just enough for the Blue Jays on a day when their offense dried up. St. Catharines now leads the best-of-7 series 2-1.

Tirado, the St. Catharines right-hander, went 7.1 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits. He collected 5 strikeouts.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Tirado.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Keelhaulers Ballpark in Santa Rosa.
