Critical Game 5 Goes to Host Rotters, 8-5
Despite a great performance by Encinitas designated hitter George Foote, the Riverside Rotters defeated the Eskimo Brothers by the score of 8-5 at Rotters Ballpark. Foote was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, but he could not prevent the Rotters from moving one game closer to the League Championship Series. Riverside now leads the Division Series 3-2.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the first. That's when Rotters right fielder David Moore hit a slider from Tom Balletta for a 3-run home run. Just like that, Riverside was up, 3-1.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Moore.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 17th , 2023 at EBDBBNB Park in Mobile.
