Division Series Goes the Distance, St. Catharines Prevails
It was a rousing finish to the Division Series at Engineers Ballpark today.

The St. Catharines Blue Jays sent the Newark Flyers home for the season with a 5-3 win in the decisive game of the series.

The Blue Jays took the series 4-3. Up next on their schedule is the League Championship Series.

Hauling in the MVP trophy was St. Catharines left fielder Brian Hendrix. His numbers included a .370 batting average, 2 RBIs and 5 runs.

"With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the League Championship Series," he said.

The St. Catharines Blue Jays will play against the Santa Rosa Desperados in the next round. Santa Rosa won their series against the Glace Bay Miners 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
