Santa Rosa Wins Game 4 in Extras; On Verge of CS
As the Santa Rosa Desperados and Grand Rapids Jet Hawks battled through extra innings, it was a rookie who made the difference.

Young Santa Rosa catcher Bobby Tungate, 24 led the way with a strong hitting performance in the 10-inning marathon. Tungate was 1-2 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once during the 8-5 Santa Rosa win over the Jet Hawks. The win gives the Desperados a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 Division Series.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Tungate hit a fastball from Juan Santana for a 3-run home run. The Desperados, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Tungate.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Keelhaulers Ballpark in Santa Rosa.
