The home team gave the crowd at Rivermen Ballpark something to cheer about.

The Ottawa Lynx weathered a fine game by Waco right fielder Francisco Reina to upend the Warlocks, 8-6, at Rivermen Ballpark. Reina was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Ottawa is now 5-1.

The Warlocks had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Lynx going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old shortstop Ryan Knight came to the plate. Knight hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch fastball from Waco hurler Sam Betourne. It was Knight's 1st home run of the year.

"We ground out the win," said Knight. "That's all that matters."
