Friday, May 15th , 2026
Chuluota second baseman Jose Gallardo keeps on racking up hits every time he plays.
His hitting streak now stands at 38 games after collecting 3 hits at Cincinnati Grounds. The Imperials earned the 6-5 victory over the Buckeye Local Panthers.
"I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Gallardo said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Jose Gallardo doubled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
In 34 games this season, Gallardo has batted at a .476 pace with 70 hits and 8 home runs.
