Colonels David Cheesman Down and Out for Year Sunday, April 21st , 2024 David Cheesman of the Colonels just might have to call it quits for the season. The 20-year-old Tiverton third baseman received a possible season-ending injury against the Lincoln Princes recently at Field of the Colonels. Cheesman suffered a broken kneecap while running the bases. The Colonels medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 9 months. So far in 2024 Cheesman is batting .293 with 5 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 41 at-bats and a .383 OBP. |
