Breshears of Juneau Crowned Best Player Monday, May 11th , 2026 Juneau fans have something to crow about today as Juneau left fielder John Breshears nabbed the Southern Conference Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Breshears. He posted a .615 average (16-for-26) this past week with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 11 runs scored. Breshears's current batting average stands at .448 and he has chalked up 13 home runs and 38 RBIs. |
