Gallardo Boosts Hit Streak to 33 Games Saturday, May 9th , 2026 Jose Gallardo has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Chuluota second baseman picked up 1 more today against the Riverside Wolverines and now has a 33-game hitting streak. The Imperials won the game, 6-2. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Jose Gallardo grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Thus far this year, Gallardo has hit .488 with 7 home runs and 27 RBIs. |
