32-Game Hitting Streak for Gallardo Friday, May 8th , 2026 Jose Gallardo's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Chuluota. The 18-year-old second baseman extended it once again, this time bringing it to 32 games with a 3-for-5 performance against the Riverside Wolverines. The Imperials won the game, 7-6. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Jose Gallardo singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This season, Gallardo has posted a batting average of .492 with 60 hits in 122 at-bats, 7 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has also scored 37 runs, walked 13 times and compiled a .540 OBP. |
