Mounties, Vega Stonewall Tiverton, 20-0 Thursday, August 29th , 2024 Today was Tony Vega's turn in the rotation for the Moncton Mounties and he made the most of it, shutting out the Tiverton Colonels on 3 hits. The 18-year-old right-hander led the Mounties to an easy 20-0 victory, allowing 3 walks and tallying 4 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Tiverton manager Chris Hartman said. "Vega certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds." So far this year, Vega has a 11-6 record with a 4.61 ERA.
