Tinoco on a Tear, Hits for Cycle
Wednesday, September 10th , 2025
In an outing that will go down in the annals of league history, Whitby center fielder Arturo Tinoco hit for the cycle, as the Bats marched to victory over the Borrego Springs Rams, 7-5.
Tinoco collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 3 RBI and 2 runs scored to help Whitby take the Club Circle Park contest.
"It was the last thing on my mind, really," Tinoco said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway."
Arturo Tinoco hit a solo-shot off Ramon Rivera in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Tinoco is batting .382 with 19 home runs. He has scored 71 runs and driven in 75.
