NC Awards Outstanding Pitcher Trophy Tuesday, October 17th , 2023 The spotlight today is on David Hernandez of the Buffalo Bellflowers. He was named the top pitcher in the Northern Conference and will be honored with the 2023 Pitcher of the Year Award. Hernandez compiled an impressive 21-7 won-lost mark to capture this year's honor. In 211.2 innings of work and 30 starts, the Bellflowers star struck out 158, while giving up 142 hits and 51 walks. He limited opposing batters to a .188 average. He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 24. Justin Hesley of the Terra Linda Chargers finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Omar Valentin of the Terra Linda Chargers finished third.
