Joe Petersen Out for 9 Months Saturday, September 23rd , 2023 A blow for Joe Petersen today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 9 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Petersen suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Buffalo Bellflowers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Petersen's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. So far this year, Petersen has made 18 relief appearances with 2 saves, thrown 34.1 innings and struck out 42 with a 3-1 record. |
