Pedro Bautista Sidelined for Season Tuesday, August 27th , 2024 The doctors have spoken and Pedro Bautista of the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes didn't like what he heard. The 16-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Bautista sustained his season-ending injury during the Chuluota Imperials game yesterday at Earthquakes Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Ft. Wayne medical staff reported Bautista had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. This season, Bautista has compiled a 1-0 mark with a 5.02 ERA in 0 starts. |
