Southern Conference West Division Won: Killers on Top Sunday, August 25th , 2024 While it seemed a foregone conclusion for quite some time, today it became official: the Crystal Lake Killers are champions of the Southern Conference West Division. The club has been rolling well ahead of the pack with a 79-46 record and have now officially qualified for the postseason. "It's a good feeling to know you can't be caught," said closer Brian Kyzar. "Now we can focus on getting ourselves ready to win a World Series." The club's division title was their 7th and they will be attempting to win the franchise's 2nd title. According to manager Steve Warzecha, "I think we've got as good a chance as any team in ABA Rookie League." |
