Walker Outstanding, No-Hits Captains Friday, August 23rd , 2024 Crystal Lake Killers starter Jamari Walker came up big at Killer Stadium with an exceptional 14-0 win against the Tulsa Captains. Not only did he whip them, but Walker held them hitless, too. "My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Walker. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens." In the course of the no-hitter, Walker collected 5 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books.
