Northern Conference West Division Title Goes to Bats Wednesday, August 21st , 2024 There may have been other teams in the Northern Conference West Division, but this year there was one that stood far above all others. The Whitby Bats are division champions after to date what has been a dominant season that sees the club well out ahead of the pack, with a current record of 98-24. It is the 4th time in franchise history they have won the Northern Conference West Division. "We've had the right preparation and focus all year," said manager David Sawyers. The club will now be looking for its 1st ABA Rookie League championship. "We're all getting excited to get the playoffs started," said starting pitcher Antonio Rodriguez as he paused from celebrations with his jubilant teammates. "The division is one thing, but ultimately we want to get to the World Series and win it." |
