Long Island Snaps Solis Streak at 20 Monday, August 19th , 2024 After 20 games, Danny Solis had his hitting streak ended abruptly by the Long Island Torpedoes at Wegman's Field. The Buffalo Bellflowers second baseman failed to get a hit in 1 at-bat, bringing his tenure in the national spotlight to a halt. Despite the tough day at the plate, Solis seemed unconcerned after the game, talking instead about the Bellflowers beating the Torpedoes, 6-5. "It was good while it lasted," Solis said. "If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." This season, Solis is batting .328 with 160 hits, 16 home runs, 66 RBIs, .422 OBP and has scored 114 runs. |
