Hit Streak for Solis Reaches 20 Sunday, August 18th , 2024 Danny Solis, second baseman for the Buffalo Bellflowers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 3 hits in his club's 9-6 victory over the Long Island Torpedoes at Wegman's Field. "Not the outcome we wanted," Long Island manager Moises Gonzalez said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Danny Solis grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. Solis is hitting .329 this year with 16 home runs and 66 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .422, 73 walks and scored 113 times. |
