Henning 5-for-6 Against Thrashers Sunday, August 4th , 2024 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. David Henning is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Haviland Thrashers at Ballpark of Haviland. The monster effort from the 20-year-old catcher helped the Riverside Wolverines get the win, 16-1. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Thrashers manager Bill Mason. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." David Henning singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
