Hunt Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games
Wednesday, July 24th , 2024
The San Bernardino Flight may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 10-3, to the Buckeye Local Panthers, but Kevin Hunt continued to hit like a god.
The first baseman collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 25 games.
"Hunt is playing great and is on fire right now," Flight manager Nick Neumann said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Hunt was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Kevin Hunt singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
Hunt is currently batting .435 with 6 home runs, 17 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has 54 hits in 124 at-bats.
