Blast Off! 3 HR for Paula Saturday, July 20th , 2024 Heriberto Paula went on an explosive hitting spree against the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers at Ballpark of San Bernardino, launching a trio of blasts to help the San Bernardino Flight win, 8-4. The center fielder finished 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 6 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Paula said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Sunrise Manor skipper said Paula was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Heriberto Paula hit a two-run home run off Andy Espindola in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Alex Nevarez in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Alex Nevarez in the 8th. Paula is hitting .355 in 2024 with 67 RBIs and 21 home runs. |
