Monier on Fire: 5-for-7 for Picture Rocks Tuesday, May 14th , 2024 It was a sensational day at the plate for Dave Monier as he led the charge to a nifty 25-17 win over the Flight. The Picture Rocks right fielder was pure misery for the San Bernardino pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Monier put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Nick Neumann, manager for the Flight, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Dave Monier singled in the 2nd, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
