Lopez Pounds 3 HR Against Flight Wednesday, June 11th , 2025 Some days you can't have it all, as Juneau Sled Dogs first baseman Korey Lopez discovered when he cracked three homers against the San Bernardino Flight, and still lost. "I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game." The 19-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Flight walked away with the triumph, 12-11, at Sled Dogs Ballpark. Lopez finished the day with 3 hits in 6 at-bats and 4 RBIs. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview. Korey Lopez flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Corneles Manolas in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Cristovão Dray in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Takashi Endo in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. In his season totals Lopez has 34 home runs and a .374 batting average. |
