Valentino Ponchielli of the Riverside Wolverines had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 14-10 win over the Buckeye Local Panthers at Cincinnati Grounds. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 20-year-old right fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Valentino Ponchielli singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
