Hit Streak Now at 33 for Valdez Monday, June 9th , 2025 Jose Valdez, shortstop for the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 33 games with 2 hits in his club's 19-13 victory over the Jacksonville Nationals at Earthquakes Stadium. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Jose Valdez walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Looking at his season stats, Valdez has compiled a .410 batting average and a .502 on-base percentage, while hitting 16 home runs and driving in 52 runs. |
