Raney Keeps Hit Streak Alive

Moncton third baseman David Raney keeps on racking up hits every time he plays.
His hitting streak now stands at 31 games after collecting 2 hits at Madison Grounds. The Mounties earned the 8-5 victory over the Plymouth Rockers.
"I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Raney said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." David Raney hit a solo-shot off Harvey Grainger in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Harvey Grainger in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
Looking at his stats this year, Raney has compiled a .494 batting average, while hitting 23 home runs and driving in 69 runs. He has played in 42 games and scored 53 runs.
