Salazar Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Saturday, June 7th , 2025 Johnny Salazar ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Ballpark of Haviland, when he collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Haviland Thrashers dropped the game, 9-4, to the Juneau Sled Dogs. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Salazar said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Johnny Salazar flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd and doubled in the 5th. This season, Salazar has banged out 67 hits in 211 at-bats for a .318 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .350 pace and his totals also include 24 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
