Chargers Vigil Smacks 5 Hits Saturday, June 7th , 2025 Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day, so it was a special occasion for Chargers's Bill Vigil at Centerville Grounds. Vigil put up a 5-for-9 line against the Long Island Torpedoes, swinging the bat with authority all day despite his club's eventual 8-4 loss. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Vigil said after the game. "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but it's disappointing to lose." Disappointed or not, he still gets his name in the record books. Bill Vigil singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, struck out in the 12th, grounded out in the 14th and singled in the 16th.
