Valdez Hits in 31 Straight Games Saturday, June 7th , 2025 Nobody has been able to shut down Ft. Wayne Earthquakes shortstop Jose Valdez in recent days. The Jacksonville Nationals fared no better than the rest. Today at Earthquakes Stadium, Valdez picked up 4 hits in 5 at-bats en route to a win, 16-8. It stretched his hitting string to 31 consecutive games. Jose Valdez singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. Thus far this season, Valdez has hit .413 with 16 home runs, 52 RBIs and scored 67 times. |
