30 Games in a Row for Valdez Friday, June 6th , 2025 The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes stopped the Juneau Sled Dogs, 10-4, and Jose Valdez collected a base hit yet again. The Ft. Wayne shortstop finished with 3 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 30. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Valdez told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Jose Valdez singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. Valdez is batting .405 this season in 51 games with 16 home runs, 50 RBIs and 65 runs scored. He has 89 hits in 220 at-bats. |
