Earthquakes End Willin Streak Tuesday, June 6th , 2023 The Picture Rocks Raptors lost to the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes, 6-1, at Earthquakes Stadium, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Ryan Willin's 20-game hitting streak. The left fielder went 0-for-3 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Willin, we would win the game," Earthquakes manager Du-sung Moon explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." This season, Willin is hitting at a .299 pace with 27 home runs, 50 RBIs and has scored 43 times. |
