Carter Raps 3 Homers Against Wolverines
Monday, May 22nd , 2023
Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Gregg Carter can celebrate.
The San Bernardino Flight third baseman powered three into the stands at Ballpark of San Bernardino against the Riverside Wolverines.
"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Carter told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one."
In all, he was 3-for-3 as the Flight toppled Riverside by a score of 10-3, knocking in 6 runs and scoring 3 times.
"He is blessed with a natural home run swing," San Bernardino manager Nick Neumann said. "He gets the ball up in the air."
Gregg Carter hit a solo-shot off Ken Hicks in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ken Hicks in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Matheus Arispe in the 8th.
So far this season, Carter is batting .276 with 15 home runs, 26 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 45 hits in 163 at-bats, 15 walks and a .343 OBP. Carter has played in 45 games.
