York Stretches Hit String to 20 Monday, May 22nd , 2023 Chalk up another one for Riverside Wolverines second baseman Jaden York. He now has hit in 20 straight games. York went 1-for-4 in today's game at Ballpark of San Bernardino but saw his club defeated, 10-3, by the host San Bernardino Flight. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Wolverines manager Matt Augustus said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Jaden York flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. For the season, York has produced 53 hits in 154 at-bats for a .344 average with 14 home runs and gotten on base at a .448 clip. |
