Arthur Bashes 5 Base Hits Sunday, April 21st , 2024 Notre Dame third baseman Nick Arthur had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Purdue Boilermakers at Alexander Field as the Fighting Irish picked up a win, 9-3. "He was patient up there," Notre Dame skipper Mike Golden told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Arthur has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Nick Arthur singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Currently Arthur has 3 home runs and a .344 batting average. |
