Nebraska Takes Sweet 16 in Deciding Game Sunday, May 10th , 2026 It took a while, but the Nebraska Cornhuskers finally disposed of the Michigan Wolverines 5-4 in the series clincher at Hawks Field. Winning the finale gave the Cornhuskers the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Elite 8. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Nebraska shortstop Josh Clarke. He batted .455 in the series, collecting 3 RBIs and scoring 4 runs. The Nebraska Cornhuskers will play against the Virginia Cavaliers in the next round. Virginia won their series against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 2 games to 0. The Elite 8 schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes. |
