5-Hit Blitz by Swift Thursday, April 18th , 2024 It was a parade of hits for Brian Swift of the Georgia Bulldogs at Foley Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Swift finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Bulldogs to a win, 23-12. "Swift was really good and we were really bad," groaned Sun Devils manager Juan Fernandez. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Brian Swift hit a two-run home run off Shane Hill in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Chris Grossie in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and hit an RBI triple in the 7th. This season, Swift is batting .209 with 7 home runs. |
