Cavaliers Capture Conference 1 ACC Thursday, May 7th , 2026 Grown men turned into little boys, some even breaking into tears, in the Virginia Cavaliers clubhouse, after the team clinched the Conference 1 ACC. "We can relax a bit, for now anyway," said manager Collin Romero. "I'm proud of every guy in the room for what we've done this season." The club has a 34-17 record as they head towards the playoffs in search of their 4th College World Series championship. First Baseman Jose Ortega said the team is happy to clinch what is the club's 5th division title, but "wouldn't be happy until we're lifting that trophy." |
