Fighting Irish Emmanuel Denson Will Miss Season Sunday, April 5th , 2026 The doctors have spoken and Emmanuel Denson of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Denson sustained his season-ending injury during the Purdue Boilermakers game yesterday at Alexander Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Notre Dame medical staff reported Denson had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months. On the year, Denson has worked 29.1 innings with 24 strikeouts en route to a 2-2 record and 4.30 ERA. |
