Skipper Matt Howard Out in Oklahoma State Monday, June 2nd , 2025 It came as no surprise when Matt Howard was fired from his post as the manager of the Oklahoma State Cowboys, not even for the man himself. Speaking to reporters minutes after being informed of his termination, Howard said, "It's no big shock I guess, but it still hurts. Nobody ever likes to be told they can't do a job they love anymore." Howard was a fan favorite and much-heralded for being a player's manager, team general manager said. "At the end of the day baseball is about what happens between the lines. We'd love to have kept a quality baseball man like Matt in the Oklahoma State organization, but he felt it was better to move on." |
