Ross Blasts 3 out of the Park Thursday, May 4th , 2023 Nebraska Cornhuskers bombardier Mike Ross set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club beat the Penn State Nittany Lions, 9-5. "I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one," Ross told writers in the postgame press room. "I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I'd get a certain pitch, and got all of it." For the game, the Nebraska left fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 3 runs. Mike Ross walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Cory Miles in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Travis Gregg in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Kyle Kahl in the 8th. Currently Ross has 11 home runs and a .342 batting average. |
