20-Game Streak Ends, Knisley Hitless Tuesday, May 2nd , 2023 The hitting streak that Oklahoma center fielder Jeff Knisley had kept going for 20 games was ended by the Tennesse Volunteers. Knisley was stymied over 1 at-bat, but the rest of his team picked him up, getting the 5-1 victory at L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park. "Hitting streaks come and go," Knisley said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." In his season totals Knisley has 3 home runs and a .328 batting average. |
