Mazalewski Gone for Season in West Virginia Monday, May 1st , 2023 Frank Mazalewski will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the West Virginia reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Mazalewski was injured while throwing a pitch in the Mountaineers-Cougars clash at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium recently. Doctors said he has a fractured elbow and would be out a minimum of 8 months. Over the season, Mazalewski has made 22 relief appearances with 1 save. He has K'd 21 batters in 23 innings, yielded 25 walks and has a 9.78 ERA. Mazalewski's record this year is 0-1. |
