Wetzel Wins SL1 Player of the Week Honors Monday, May 1st , 2023 It was announced today that Florida State catcher Neil Wetzel was named the Conference 1 Player of the Week Award for his superb play last week. During the week he compiled a .500 batting average (9-for-18) with 5 home runs, 16 RBI and scored 8 runs. This season, Wetzel is swinging the bat at a .281 rate with 34 hits in 121 at-bats. To date he has hit 10 home runs, scored 18 runs and driven in 35. |
