The future looks extremely bright for Cameron Williams. At the age of 24, many players are still trying to find their way in ABA Double A.
Williams has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Western AA Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .266 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said.
The Sonoma Scorpions star also put up a .384 on-base percentage this year, with 125 hits, 23 doubles, no triples, 31 home runs, 75 RBIs and 84 runs scored.
He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 24. Julio Herrera of the Hamilton Bulldogs finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Jerry Robinson of the Vail Tigercats finished third.
